Poem: Opal BIRTHSTONE!

OPAL BIRTHSTONE!

(October 16, 2014)  Happy Birthday Andrea!

Take it from a woman who has contemplated,
studied and prayed all of her life.
Who has searched for the impossible goal,
been inspired, and a responsible, consistent wife.
Like a multicolored gel, hardened by time,
composed of particles closely packed, set in its ways.
Many outsiders could question, murmur and say,

Or maybe intuitive, sensitive, a member of a clan,
Part of a unit, a purposeful plan.
So to everything a reason, and place.
Glory and victory in old age, being formed and compacted,
A multicolored face.

What is built and made in a stone
is not to be haphazardly thrown.
A stone with a background color contrasting with a color play,
Ranging from milky white to black, with flashes of
yellow, orange, green red, blue,
And maybe even grey…

A mixture that sometimes might seem a bother,
But here I am, hard as a stone, your loving mother!!!

Poem for Mother's Day!!!

MOTHER’S DAY

(Written September 25, 2014)
(Mother’s Day in Argentina is the 2nd Sunday of October!)

Without the female touch,
Loving arms, kisses, one giving so much…
The reason and sense of creation.
The hope of losers, or lost souls.

The balance necessary for a World needing.
The resource and consolation of tiny babes feeding.
The intuition, source and fountain,
That makes small any mountain…

Without a female, what use to proceed?
This miracle of nature satisfies many a need!
It is the one possession we all have and share.
Each person has a mother to be loved with great care!

So let’s take a little time and pray,
That all mothers, everywhere, get the most of their day!
