Time to wake up guys!

 Songbird

(By: Karla Wagener, Tuesday, November 30, 2021
5:15 AM)

I wake up in the wee hours,
Just before the light of dawn
With my sibling songbirds
Chirping out the new light's songs.

We begin little by little;
First one, then others join in
To form a symphony
Letting joy and hope begin.

It fills the air.
It enters hearts.
All the creation renewed,
And my greatest concern

...Is that it mobilize you!

A song poem for Christmas.

 Just another Christmas Song

(By: Karla Wagener on Thursday,

Just another Christmas song,
How can it be made real?
All the hopes of humanity,
All that history can feel?

Just another chanting verse
To be hummed or sung
Another decorated tree,
Gifts in stockings hung.

Just more Christmas cards to write.
Gifts with love wrapped up real tight.
With sharing and such good Will,
We bring on Christmas's light.

Each new year brings renewed aims;
The purposeful plan to pursue -
That the faithful Christmas star
Will lead needing souls to be renewed!

THE CUSP OF DAWN

 THE CUSP OF DAWN

(By: Karla Wagener on

Awakening at the perfect moment,
Just before the breaking of light;
Anticipating what everyone needs;
Being able to transmit it previous
To any imagined hope
Like tiny buried seeds!

Are you with us
In this great darkness?
Your presence can be felt
Even in the dark that envelopes
All expectations...

Awakening immediately before daylight
To proclaim it's promises and glory!

A surprise poem

Someone who helped us out most (and others too) in times of trouble was Uncle Gregg Wagener. Today is his birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Gregg!

LITTLE BIRDS
(By Karla Wagener)

Waking up at 3:00 a.m. from dreams,
To insurmountable problems
And facing old age,
Which seems to have no solutions...
The deepest, darkest part of the night,
The mind reaching out
To anticipate the dawn and light.
The solutions will come...
The previous sound of music of little birds
Reaching out to my ears
Delving into the deepest regions
Of all the mind can offer.
Conclusions form
And trust in the formation
And promises of light
Give solace even to
The most dire fears.
