EL HELADO Y OTROS PLACERES DE LA VIDA

 Un lindo día de Mayo paso que mama estaba hesitante para permitir que Alessandra vaya con sus amigos al shopping. Alessandra ya tenía 12 y medio años. Ella se sentía madura y estaba de buen humor. Camino con sus amigos para poder guardar las monedas del viaje en bus. Todos caminaban por el shopping, riéndose y charlando. Pararon para probar sombreros y, luego tomaron un helado. Por supuesto, pararon en la disco.

Más tarde se acercaron a un parque cercano y se hamacaban como niños pequeños, para ver quién podía hamacarse más rápido. Jugaron en los juegos y Alessandra golpeó la espinilla en la verja fría. De nuevo, comieron helado.

"Tu helado huele a azúcar acaramelada", comentó Daniel. Alessandra miró al helado, y Daniel lo empujó pegándole en la nariz. Se reían todos.

Ese día Alessandra y sus compañeros hicieron todas las actividades comunes para los adolescentes.

 ICE CREAM AND OTHER JOYS OF LIFE

Mother was reluctant to let Alessandra go with her friends to the shopping center one fine day in May. Alessandra was already twelve and a half years old. Alessandra felt very mature and she was in a good mood. She walked with her friends in order to save the money from the bus fare. They walked about the shopping center, laughing and chatting. 

 They stopped to look at some hats and earrings, and then ate an ice cream cone.  Of course, they made a stop to the music store.  

Afterwards they all went to a nearby park where they played on the swings like young children, seeing who could swing faster. They played on the toys and Alessandra bumped her shin on the cold metal bars, but, she was feeling good and didn't notice it. They ate another ice cream cone.  

"Your ice cream smells like caramel sauce", commented Danny. Alessandra looked at her ice cream and Danny struck it with his hand into her nose. Everyone laughed. 

That day Alessandra and her crew did all the normal teenage activities available to them! They never forgot those happy moments!

El oso polar siguió adelante, decidido, 

forjando un camino.
con determinación inquebrantable.

Guiando por el camino
A través de territorio inexplorado,
En algún lugar no habitualmente pisado,
Tambaleándose al borde de la verdad,
Ella lidera. Ella lidera.

Ella hace gestos
Y un baile extraño.
Su terreno ha cambiado,
Esta podría ser la última oportunidad.

Dependiendo de los humanos
Para rescatar a su descendencia,

Her terrain has been changed,
This could be the last chance.

Depending on humans
To rescue her offspring,
Trapped in an odd environment and melting ice.

Call it maternal intuition.
Call it a last chance of hope.
The future is bleak and hazy.
Her motions might seem a bit crazy.

Notice her resolve and courage.

Call it a lost cause...

FALUN GONG

Are there aliens living on Earth? A Chinese man, Li Hongzhi, seems to think so. 

He says, ¨One type of alien looks like a human, but has a nose made of a bone, and others resemble¨. Li Hongzhi says the inspiration of scientists is manipulated by the aliens and those aliens intend to clone all humans. Many people have similar theories, but Li has millions of followers. 

To be able to transmit his knowledge to this great public, in 1992, he elaborated a simple system called Falun Gong. This method has a set of five exercises of meditation and seeks to develop the hearts and character of the members by balancing truth, compassion, and tolerance. It is a combination of Buddhism, Confucianism and Taoism, aimed at moral rejuvenation and at Spirituality, (called Falun Gong). It aims at ability in supernatural powers and ¨freedom from the worldly .

Falun Gongs Internet page affirms that there are 1000 million members in more than 80 countries.

Li insists, ¨I want to teach people to be good, not to be involved in Politics¨. 

(Yet historically, secret societies and spiritual masters have challenged and even toppled, Chinese dynasties).

Uno de los pacificadores después de la Revolución americana con Inglaterra en 1776, era John Adams. En su diario, describió a Inglaterra como un águila que cayó en una granja y por error, en vez de cazar una criatura débil como un conejo, cazo a un gato. Escribió, 

"El gato, lo agarro en el aire por el cuello usando los dientes y lo envolvió con sus garras. Al encontrarse rasgado y apretado, el águila pidió que le permitiese marcharse.

One of the peacemakers after the American Revolution from England in 1776 was John Adams. In his diary he described England as an eagle that had swooped down on, not a weak creature, such as a hare, but a cat. He wrote, "In the air the cat seized him by the neck with her teeth and round the body with her fore and hind claws. The eagle finding himself scratched and pressed, bids the cat let go and fall down. 

“No”, says the cat, “I won't let go. You shall stoop and set me down”. This parable is an image of the birth of a nation. 

At that time, there was also a global struggle. France, Spain and Holland were involved. England decided to cut their losses in North America, concentrating on Europe. The last toast at a Ball in Paris after the signing of the Treaty of Paris to end the War was, "liberty and happiness to all mankind".

 UNA PEQUEÑA REFLEXIÓN

Realmente no me preocupa si la Virgen María es
corredentora! ¡De lo que estoy segura es que me ayudará a afrontar la vida y a cuidar de mis hijos!

Ella me ayuda a acercarme al significado espiritual del universo. No hay necesidad de cuestionar su función ni sus habilidades. No hay necesidad de analizar la feminidad. Los beneficios de maternal solicitud y disenos son evidentes.

Que necesidad hay de comentar sobre todo esto? Sobre todo cuando nos ha conmovido una presencia tan maravillosa.

No puede haber ninguna duda de la existencia milagrosa de apoyo puro, energía y acciones positivas.

¿Qué mejor lugar para depositar con gran confianza a nuestros hijos que al cuidado de la Madre de Jesús?

Sólo podemos tener confianza en, por aunque tan sombrías que parezcan las cosas, habrá remedios para cualquier desorden.

No es necesario discutir esto. ¡La evidencia de María y la excelencia femenina eclipsan cualquier duda!
¡Crean!
¡Lo único que necesitamos es creer!

Reflections of my life

   "The changing of sunlight to moonlight".

It really doesn't concern me if the Virgin Mary is 

co-redemptrix or co-redeemer! What I'm sure of is that she will help me with facing life and with my children!

She helps me be closer to the spiritual meaning of the universe. There is no need to question her function or abilities. There is no need to analyze femininity. The benefits of maternal requests and workings are only too obvious.

Why question what can be commented about all this? Especially when we have been touched by such a marvelous presence?

There can be no doubt of the miraculous existence of pure support and positive energy and actions.

What better place to deposit our children with great confidence than in the care of Jesus' mother?

We can only feel confident, that no matter how bleak things may seem, there will be remedies for any disarray.

No discussion is necessary about this. The evidence of Mary and female excellence overshadows all doubt!
Believe!
Belief is all we need!

SOPA DEL NIDO DE PAJARO

El "swiftlet" es un pájaro pequeño, que construye su nido principalmente en cuevas. Se alimenta en el aire, en pleno vuelo y cazando insectos voladores. El macho es quien edifica el nido. Elige un lugar alto y seguro. De su boca, desde las glándulas salivales, sale una secreción. Esta "pasta" o cemento para el nido, forman un hilo delgado y continuo, semejante a un fino "espagueti". Él lo teje, formando un nido. A medida que el nido se seca, las hebras se adhieren.

Este pequeño nido, color blanco nieve es un manjar en la gastronomía china. Se lo considera una sustancia que balancea y refuerza tanto el cuerpo, como la mente y ofrece una larga vida, virilidad y sabiduría. Un análisis químico, demostró que la sopa tiene "un bajo valor nutritivo”.

La sopa de nido de pájaro, es conocido por ser delicioso y puede ser decorada con huevos de codorniz.

BIRD'S NEST SOUP

A swiftlet is a small-sized bird which builds its nest primarily in sea caves.  

It feeds by swooping through the air, catching flying insects. The male builds the nest. He picks a high, safe place. Out of his mouth comes a secretion from his salivary glands. This "paste" or nest-cement forms a continuous thin strand of soft "spaghetti". He weaves it into a nest. As the nest dries, the strands stick solidly together.  

This small, snow-white nest, shaped like a half teacup, is a delicacy in Chinese gastronomy. It is considered to balance and strengthen the body and mind, and give long life, virility and wisdom. A chemical analysis once showed that the soup is "of low nutritive value". 

Bird's nest soup is said to be delicious and can be garnished with quail eggs.
