SOUL DE POETA
A long time ago in a Creative Writing class the teacher,
Mrs. Bevens, told us that it is a good idea to put what we write away and not
look at it for a few weeks before we do something with it. This is good advice. Today I changed the title of the following
from "El Alrededor" to "Soul de Poeta". It is a play on words of "soul" and
"sol". I just found out that
one of my ex-student's Bosses died. He
was only 39 years old and died of Cancer.
So remember to be there for the ones who are alive. I was with my mother when she died, and when
she was taking her last breaths I was holding her hand. Just as I took my hand away she died and I
felt a huge presence fill the room. I am
convinced it was her Spirit leaving her.
I felt as if a bit of that Spirit entered me and over the years grew.
When I went to our Family reunion at Christmastime in 1998, my brother Paul talked about the "soul of a poet". He said his son's name, Aaron, means "soul of a poet", and that is why he named him with that name. I don't know if this is true, but it had a big impact on me!

SOUL DE POETA
Bis: No busquen
en los muertos...
No busquen en los muertos...
Al que aun esta´ vivo.
"Luchare´
con Ustedes.
Estaré con
Ustedes...
Hasta El Fin...
Luchare´ con
Ustedes.
Estaré con Ustedes...
Hasta El
Fin...del Mundo"
Dejen lo viejo, para
algo nuevo.
Es un paso, que
hay que darse.
No se encierren
en sí mismo;
Ábranse al
alrededor.
No se encierren
en sí mismo,
Ábranse al Buen
Amor.
Para poder entrar y salir para compatir!
Al final somos
iguales;
El sol brilla
para mal o para bien.
Si vemos en el
otro, nosotros mismos...
Nos abrimos a una historia muy buena, NUEVA
¡sin fin!
