(From my files, a renovated poem:)

 (For la nu"eva" patria)

 (Alfonsin, who I nickname "all fall in sin)

 (And "Bill" Clinton, etc.)

We were with you in the bad times,

In the tough times,

When there was drought...

Passed through the trying times,

And gave you our perseverance, with a shout!

We were with you when you suffered,

When you hurt, when you were ill...

Gave you faith and courage,

When you had trouble paying the bill!

We came to you in the worst of times.

Fed you, clothed you, and said many a prayer...

All we ask is that you consider this now

That you're on the top, way up there!
