FOR GIVE NESS
Luke 10:38-42
(By: Karla Wagener)
When I was operated on last December 7, 2021, I felt a door of light opening for me. The operation coincided with the celebration of the Conception of the Virgin Mary the next day, and it took place in Concepcion del Uruguay. Also, coincidentally I had been doing a 33 day preparation of prayers and exercises so as to make the consagration. I became aware of many things I had often wondered about. One of them is the forgiveness of sins.
I must confess I am not a great sinner! One of my worst sins is to lack cleaning skills. It has been a weak point and seemed impossible to overcome.
I was told I would not be able to even lift a broom or do work for 6 weeks after the hysterectomy. I trembled! Sweeping and cleaning had always caused great exasperation.
After the operation, I was aliviated of a responsibility that had been one of my greatest weaknesses. Someone else had to do it. Not only had I found forgiveness, but by the grace of God, I was given a light load.
Forgiveness is replaced by grace! This is a detail, but shows how true forgiveness works and how we can be redeemed, even from much worse weaknesses.
What is more is that when I was told to do nothing, I realized how much I had been doing and how it had gone unperceived! Hahaha!
When I felt better, sweeping and cleaning actually became quite enjoyable!
Of course, I will never be a great cleaner, that is not the point. A greater force can make possible what we lack. We must allow it to help us. And repentance leads to saving grace!
In "for" giving we always get benefits!
In being forgiven we find greater freedom!
The most important part is to take the time to share time and receive others attentively.
