Lennon, George and Johnny Cash!
So many more,
Sang their songs,
Leaving on
Deepfelt legacies of low.

Bob Dylan, McCarthy, Mick, Keith, Rod, Ray and Ringo
In music Stay alive!
Elton, Jovi, Joplin, Hendrix.
The meaning thrives.

So many more sing out
Their songs,
What difference, what meaning for the throngs?

Kenny Rogers, Garth and Dolly
There's so many more.
Simon, Garfield, Bruce,
Barbara, Houston, Franklin,
A mystical existence
To explore.

Roth and Bono, Presley, Freddie, Sammy, Turner,
Songs from the heart,
And a big earner.
So many more to put
On the list,
That changed the world
With their simple twist!

Made the ultimate wrong
So much better,
With their song
And heartfelt letter.

I can tell you well, my kid,
They don't make 'em
Like they did!
