Another poem for Easter 2015!!!

EASTER WEDDING

(April 6, 2014.  It is a coincidence that Andrea and Facundo are getting married on April 6, 2015. 

I wrote this poem last year exactly on April 6^th, although I added the title just now.  They gave me the Title!)

What were they waiting for?

The prophets, the Holy, the Peacemakers?

What were they working towards?

The poets, songwriters, the scholars?

The truly brave have prudence and patience.

They wait non-violently on God, and weigh their choices;

Look up with a minimum of noises.

They make their moves when graced and blessed.

Sharing their lives, mercy, and all the rest.

Smart enough to recognize their own errors,

Astute enough to Crosses bear.

They believe and realize beyond all odds.

There is a promise yet to be told,

From archives of ages old.

Original, yet unseen, a new Heaven and Earth to behold.
