Just get me through the night

And everything´ll be all right.

If I can walk away from trouble,

Maybe a better card will be dealt.

When inspiration spurs from trouble;

When youth and underdogs protest;

When oppression surfaces once again;

People often put on a straight face and do their best.

Matchless preparation, in suspense to gamble it all.

In dealing with health no one makes a call;

Where justice makes its rightful mark, no one cheats;

Yet, still, Tender Mercies dishes out compassion and its treats.
