BREAKING AWAY FROM TRADITION!!!

A “LIGHT’’ THANKSGIVING!

(Although Angelo, and Alessandra (Andrea), my children and I are US Citizen living in Argentina for more than 30 years we celebrate Thanksgiving.  This year we are breaking away from tradition!  It is not because it is very hot here in November to eat heavy foods but more because we are making a big effort to be more healthy and nutritional and all that stuff!  So we will bake a turkey and make very imaginative, original salads, foods and drinks which are all “light”.  To celebrate this major important, mindboggling adventure in our lives I have written a poem.  Actually, I wrote it on July 30, but I finished it today.  I had saved it not feeling satisfied with it and now it takes on new “LIGHT”!!!

A “LIGHT” THANKSGIVING

All I’ve got left is a prayer.

It is all that I got to make way to salvation.

Still I am holding on to a song,

That can bring hope along

To find a way in all this darkness.

Going to find a home,

Gonna mend the past.

Goin’ on to a better way,

To resolve many questions.

Going forward, moving on,

And I walk this road

With an inspirational song

Going forward, moving on

As I walk this undefined way

With purpose and meaning to bring light to stay!
