Trick or Treat!!!

COSA NOSTRA

(Written on August 1, 2018.  Finished on November 1, 2018. Happy Birthday to my brother Gregg, whose birthday is November 4, my Saint’s day!)

We’re in this together.

We take care of each other.

No problem’s too small,

To be heard out loud!

We care for each other.

Our real needs are all met.

Our efforts have just begun to be set.

Balancing differences; caring for all,

The skinny, overweight, short and tall!

We’re in this together.

We take care of all who live,

Distributing extras,

Sacrificing to be able to give!

Rebellious to such unclear, unjust law,

We follow the golden rule,

Knowing humbly that even the best can fall.

We universally accept and bear each and all!

And must I reiterate, “I prefer to go back to the States,

After more than 30 years in this place,

Threatened to have to do corrupt actions,

Prioritizing what is best for the human (and animal) race!
