SACRAMENTUM

MOST HOLY SACRAMENT

Can a shining star lead us through this sinister darkness?

Now, as the nights are colder, 
Direly reaching out towards the promise

Of a consoling, curative, rising sun,
And towards the warmth and brilliance
Of a new and better day.

What matters most to the sick and dying 
As they anticipate redemption?

Can riches, gifts or goods 
Appease their dearest need of some
hoped for remedy?

What can save them meanwhile, 
Or do some sort of unknown miracle

More than your dear and sincere prayers Before a radiating heavenly body,

Conducing progressively 
To the distinguished and keen stillness 
Of wellbeing and health

Held and concealed within their souls?

Can this leading entity 
replenish misery and sorrow?

¨Yes¨, you tell us,

¨Yes¨, you say 
as you continue resolutely to pray.
