Genuflection

The whole world is suffering 
so much recently.

Yet many blessings have been given to us.

It is so difficult to understand 
why some suffer so much.

You tell me, 
¨The world has always suffered. 

Worldly ways and vices 
conduct to pain and anguish¨.

Why have you lead me to a safe 
and gratifying point?

Why is it that some are lifted to high sites while others fall?

What mysteries lay below it all?

My dreams awaken me to trust, 
even to deliverance, security,

While realizing after all,

That even the strongest, healthiest,

The most blessed,

Yield and bow to old age.
