WHAT COUNTS!  (May 6, 2005)

I saw eternity.

It was within your eyes.

It was the most beautiful thing;

It opened all the skies.

It helped me to forget the past

Think of a new day at last.

 So now I walk more secure,

Knowing you are with us; you are so near.

I no longer fear old lies

Feel I am much more wise.

And as the evening ends,

What counts is Love and Friends.

(Traducida no tiene la rima que tiene en inglés)                             

Vi a la eternidad en tus ojos.

Era la cosa más hermosa,

Y abrió a los cielos.

Me ayudo a olvidar del pasado,

Y pensar en un nuevo día.

Ahora camino más seguro,

Apoyado por ti, que siempre estas cerca.

 Ya no temo viejos mentiras.

Me siento más sabia.

Y mientras termina la noche.

Lo que cuenta es el Amor y Amigos.

After reading Psalm 32 "Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered...(etc.), where it says "You shall surround me with songs of deliverance", I decided to write some poems called "Songs of Deliverance".  This is one of them.

Some are in English, some in Spanish.  Feel free to send my poems to friends.

As an added note:  

My daughter brought me a Rose smelling Rosarie from the Vatican recently which had been blessed by the Pope!  I take this as a special sign of good tidings!
