Yet another poem for the collection "Zoe's Birthday"!

FATHER’S DAY

(Written on June 14, 2014)

It is often hard to think of the best gift to give.
What it’s all about, makes us desire to continue and live?
What element can fill our empty space?
Enigma and reasoning of the human race…

Before us are the gifts that keep us snappin’.
Thanks to all the fathers, we can make it happen!
No dearer treasure or gift than a daughter, or son.
This is the fact, of how humanity was begun!

Another Poem for the collection for Zoe's Birthday!

WORDS OF LIFE

(Written on March 13, 2014)

There are words that last;
Meaningful words that sum up the past.
The moment cannot be held or stopped.
Harvests grow and must be cropped.

There is one real rule to help us live.
The key is to know to love and to forgive.
As I pass through life and roam,
The greatest satisfaction is to leave tracks in a heartfelt poem.

And after all is done and said,
What is more important than the “breaking of bread”?

Let us learn to live in care,
Knowing that the promises of a renewed life are there!

Poem for Zoe's Birthday!

PERSPECTIVES

August 26, 2014)

Views of the park
 Seen from another angle.
Songs of the sparrow, the lark.
Heard in another key.

Movement all around
Dreams to be fulfilled, what if we
Connect from within,
From newer perspectives see?

Aspirations to be fulfilled.
Debts to be paid.
Debts yet to be billed.

Reaching out to a better purpose reaching.
What is it, my heart, beating, beating,
That must be made or done?

KICKIN’ BUCKETS!

(Written on March 23, 2014)

Gotta make the moment last.
Make amends with all that has past.
Live the moment as it comes.
Beat out music; hear the drums.

Smell the pines and weeping willows;
Wasted at night, sleeping hard on soft pillows
What’s a drink or two of root beer;
Life’s little pleasures to get rid of dread or fear?

Can’t get enough of life as it rushes by
The Creation is really such a wonder.
It culminates in flashes of light and thunder.

Just one main thing as I live,
Facing the fact that we all someday die,
Live love, Peace,

truth, and not a lie!

"POEMS FOR ZOE'S BIRTHDAY, 2014!

FROM A COLLECTION OF POEMS:

"POEMS FOR ZOE’S BIRTHDAY, 2014"!

Zoe means "life" in Greek. From early times it was adopted by Hellenized Jews as a translation of EVE. It was borne by two early Christian saints, one martyred under emperor Hadrian, the other martyred under Diocletian. The name was common in the Byzantine Empire, being borne by a ruling empress of the 11th century. As an English name, Zoe has only been in use since the 19th century. It has generally been more common among Eastern Christians (in various spellings).

LIFE IN A FLASH OF LIGHT!

(Written on March 30, 2014)

While sitting in the park, one of my favorite places,
Contemplating life and all its graces,
The clouds opened, it is a doorway to the sky.
My heart is jumping, you all can wonder why.

The answer lies before, it is clear to see
Making moves, going on, like a rainbow, free.
And it told me something right to my heart.
It spoke to me “Sweety, it is time to start”!

And it held my Soul in a dream of powerful clouds,
Opening to the sky I felt compassion,
Learning to join in with the World’s many crowds!
