The finest workers in stone are not copper or steel tools,” Henry David Thoreau wrote, “but the gentle touches of air and water working at their leisure with a liberal allowance of time.”
By: Karla Wagener)
No one perceived the first drops
Only the cows and dogs,
a few wild deer
Could discern what was to appear.
No one felt the chasm
Or saw it grow
History made it happen
Beyond the will of the masses
An invisible cancer of violence,
Poisons of selfishness and hate.
Humidity began to form
I have felt it myself
I know that it is there
I feel it's presence here
The drops that no one knows about
Are gently touching my mind
So I am here to advise you all
To prepare for
The Spirit's transformations.
My soul cries,
Fearing you will not hear.
Yet knowing somehow
The workings shall be well done!
