Forty days and forty nights
Chanting, treading on
For our hopes and rights.

My prayer is a song,
An intimate desire,
To be carried on.

Little belongings to bear,
Fasting, contemplating
Fixed on the goal out there.

And the night whispers
The moon talks
To the best listeners.

And time pursues answers
While the moment pleads
Simply to be able to exist.
