September Flowers

 SOLACE

(By: Karla Wagener, for my granddaughter Zoe's birthday on September 24th)

Time is slipping away.
We grow and get older.
Tiresome thoughts come around.
The world's motor seems
To be on the ground.

Many aching souls
Search for answers to pain;
With a need to break subjugation's chain.
Physical anguish is to be felt.
Hell to be faced with and delt.

This easy-going, fragile,
Morning glory,
An aster in eternity's queries,
Emits solace
In the constancy
Of circadian persistent pursuits...

Conveying a daily
Heartfelt, "I love you"!
So that you know
How much you are loved.
