For The Legion of Mary Anniversary September 7th).

We wake up early
And we pray.
Inspite of troubles
For a special day.

The dawn asks
Just what it is we need.
Our hearts overflow
They almost bleed.

Peace on Earth,
No more killing.
Done with suffering,
Pain or hurt.

Too cold, too wet,
Gotta move the dirt.

Each hungry child
Leaves a scar.
Each natural disaster
Is felt from afar.

Flash floods, fires,
So much rain.

So much happening.
It is overwhelming.

Too hot, too dry
Too much wind,
Once again we begin.

We wake up early
And once again pray.
Inspite of troubles
For a better day,

Why be like robots?
When we can become angels!

With much hope
Lift each other up,
With a gentle touch!
