Poem "Cries from the Hollow"

CRIES FROM THE HOLLOW

(Saturday, August 23, 2014)

So fragile, under cover,
A place found by your mother,
Your first home was a hollow in a tree.
Homeless, rejected, she searched diligently.
Nature takes its course.
New life, joy, without remorse.
Oh, once again begins the task,
That makes each mother tend to ask…

About caring for tiny creatures
Which appear with muffled cries, and unique features
In the dark, dark night, and leave
Us with a reason to believe,
And a very special purpose!

Poem:"PUPPY LOVE"

PUPPY LOVE

(August 9, 2014)

“And they call it Puppy Love” – Paul Anka

Shadows that follow all we do,
They are with us when the day is through.
Love, don’t let them down.
Do not treat these forms like a little clown.

We dance and prance, ‘round and ‘round.
Amazed at this new image that’s been found.
So, finally, satisfied to give a home
To lost souls that search and roam.

These tiny creatures, so fragile, give out so much love.
Raise pleading eyes to us, up above.
They follow, persist, and pant all the day long,
Imitate all we do, except to do wrong!

Poem for the Pope!!!

THE POPE’S SONG

(August 17, 2014)

Privately, she gave me a song.
It talked of victory.
She sang out union, justice for wrong.

The people joined in.
Some shouted praised,
While even non-believers were believin’.

The night held a blue, reddish haze,
Candles, peregrines, lost souls in a kind of maze.
Somehow a prophecy lived on.
Truth began to unfold.

Though the problems seem insurmountable,
It is suburb to participate
Peace is more than possible!
It is not too late!

Poem for Paul (and Mary) for their birthdays in August!

BIRTH IN EARLY SPRING

(August 6, 2014)  “I’ve been waiting all of my life”!!!

Un-expectantly, the grass is beginning to grow faster.
Spring is beginning to show.
It is time to master,
My skills at growing, and all I know!

You all have seen the pictures
Of the beautiful garden of my brother Paul.
So, you see I have tough competition
To produce this year, for ya’ all.

The advantage in my plan
Is that autumn here is winter where
Uncle Paul toils and tears!

We tend to wait for a special moment
Waiting for something all of our lives.
For that “something” that cuts to our souls like knives!

Two Poems from my 2003, 2004 files

First here is a song from the Church pamphlet:

ES COMO UN RIO
Es como un rio, es la lluvia,
Es un soplo, es un fuego
es el Espíritu de Dios que quiere actuar.

Ahí va bajando, va cayendo,
va soplando, va ardiendo,
es el Espíritu de Dios que esta’ aquí.

Bajando en ti, cayendo en ti,
Soplando en ti, ardiendo en mí.

POEMS FOR QUIET MOMENTS:

 A NEW DRINK
 (September 29, 2003     8:30 a.m.)
What is the food that we really, really need?
Is it bread, is it a thing?
Is it a touch or a look of love?

Do they really ask for what they need?
Or do they ask only to receive just anything?

Do they perhaps need to give what they say they want?

And if you give in will they ask for more?

Will the Bread sustain them?
In a Word, will they ask for more, and more?
What is most nutritious?
What Power hath a joke, inspiration or a song?
What is the drink we really, truly need?

Is it a word of praise?
Or recognition, a sharp, gentle observation
Which (in a moment) the conscious doth graze?

From canisters of Water  there is prophesized much wine.

If you give them what they ask for, they will return and come for more!

When you give them what they really need,
They will be rich in Spirit, fulfilled and no longer poor!

ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE
September 24, 2003     8:25 a.m.
(Juan 4:31   -    "Yo tengo un alimento que Ustedes no conocen".
 It must be true...
What we feel, what we thirst for.
It must be what is in the heart...

No other illusion can replace
What is sealed within, looking face to face.

Searcher of hearts, search deep within.

Make intercession.
Help us know what is good, and what is sin.

What can separate me from the Love deep inside?

Not tribulation, distress, persecution, need,
Not nakedness, peril or the sword.

And what draws us on...
What brings me to this site?
To sit on the edge of eternity,
(The altar-table set),
Drink and eat,
Build our strength...
And carry on, (down the river isle...)

What force pushes us forward?

What is transforming us?

What is it doing to us?

This love, your Love.

(I saw in the news that the Pope watched some Breakdances in St. Peter's Square!  Maybe that will break the ice!)
 HAVE A N-ICE DAY!
IT WAS REALLY HOT TODAY!  ABOUT 35 DEGREES c.  THANK GOODNESS IT HAS COOLED DOWN NOW!
Also, before coming here I saw a newborn baby who was born on January 5, 2004.  His name is Matias!  And a small child named Abril got a heart transplant when she was getting to weak to continue.
