POEM: "NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION"

NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTION (December 21, 2013)

There is something hard to understand.

So close to Nirvana.

Something is missing.

Some kind of missing piece.

And soon a New Year begins.

So much has been completed.

Each new day brings new surprises,

Challenges to be defeated.

Each evening ends with undone tasks.

So near to understanding.

The moon watches over, and the soul asks,

“What is the response to the lovebird as she emits her call?

What places have the stars, that each night, fall?

So much left undone, unsaid.

It seems it should be clear.

We are still alive!
