Do you hear me?
Do you care?
Can we depend
That you'll be there?

Maybe I'm asking
for too much...

Have to limit
My heart's desire,
Flaming, burning,
Needing fuel
like a wild fire.

At first, all I'm asking
Is a little more kindness
That can kindle
Like the coals burning within
To spread like wildfires
To promised glories
Without any end.

I feel profoundly
That you hear me.
The joy swells!

So patience, heart,
Listen closely,
To the unexpected events 
History tells...
