As the daughter of a humble, honest bookkeeper in a very Catholic family I have contemplated questions of economy and the Church all my life.

When I was very young, the nuns already taught us that the Church has failings. As it has been explained, the economy is like a woman who is ill. She must be healed well before being able to do great things. This is true of the Church also. We can only be a true Church when we are one in Spirit. The Church is a woman and she is ill. I know because I was ill and have been healed. It nearly killed me several times in my life and each time I was reborn a little more.

All illnesses are rooted in thought. Thoughts must be purified to bring about healing. It is not a physical place. It resides in a pure heart, in thoughts that are morally correct, in opening to Spirit, and can be found anywhere when we love and care for one another.
