HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ALL OF YOU IN OCTOBER AND NOVEMBER!!!! I AM PUTTING THE TWO MONTHS TOGETHER SINCE THERE ARE NOT A LOT OF YOU WITH BIRTHDAYS IN THESE MONTHS!  (IT IS NOT SO EASY TO THINK UP A BIRTHDAY POEM, YOU UNDERSTAND!) I WROTE THIS ABOUT THE TIME OF THE EARTHQUAKE IN HAITI AND CALLED IT "HIGH TEA", BUT LUCAS SAID THE PLAY ON WORDS WAS NOT A GOOD IDEA SO I WILL CALL IT... BURSTING FORTH (Dedicated to President Obama) Let it grow. Let it move; let it be... It all begins with a little seed. Let it live: a life unique and new, From dreams we once plowed through... Let it take its time... For each being there is a story. the realization of a unique love, Reaches out to a greater glory. Why do we wait for disaster, To go out, save and cure? We all saw the danger... Apathy tightens up, causes a blur... Who gives the good example? Who puts others first? who offers up a sacrifice, Taking action, preventing things get worse? Pongo, de nuevo, la composicion de mi libro bilingue porque se acerca "Accion de Gracias", y tanta gente me pregunta por este festejo, particular a estados unidos!!!

ACCION DE GRACIAS

Muchas personas tienen curiosidad, respecto a una celebración norteamericana llamada "Acción de Gracias".

La misma recuerda a los primeros colonizadores de Nueva Inglaterra.  
Fue difícil para ellos sobrevivir.
Es por eso, que ellos celebraron las primeras cosechas, y dieron gracias.

Luego, Abraham Lincoln, (el decimosexto Presidente de los Estados Unidos) declaro Acción de Gracias como fiesta nacional. 
Es importante celebrar y recordar acontecimientos buenos del pasado, porque esto agrega algo especial a nuestras vidas.¡

BI-LINGUAL POEM FOR THANKSGIVING! - "KINDLINGS"

THANKSGIVING IS ON NOVEMBER 28TH THIS YEAR - 2013!!! 

(This is dedicated to any "deserving relatives" or other people out there!)

A BI-LINGUAL POEM FOR THANKSGIVING from 2009 files! Thanksgiving was on November 22, 2012, but sometimes it falls on Pascual´s birthday.  Anyway, we have a lot to be thankful for! There is always reason to celebrate and give thanks.  Thanksgiving was on November 26, 2009, which is the exact day of Pascual (my husband’s) birthday!  Advent began on the 29th of November,in 2009,  so my suggestion was that we have a (pray?) or pre-advent beginning on Thanksgiving!  This is a new concept and although it is good not to put the horse before the cart, I believe with prayer, contemplation and an inspiring poem, a better future not only possible, it is for sure and promised!  The idea is to reach out for a more elevated communication!

KINDLINGS
Maybe I am asking for too much...
for the offspring of a war veteran,
           a humble man with a crutch.
Reform, a new civilization, brotherly love, a better nation...
a renewing of all things, conservation, (simple conversation)?
What is it I see?

A need of uncontaminated space, land and sea?

I see little animals and birds dying.
Men living in violence, often false, and lying...
The pure and fragile of the earth excluded, praying.
The consequences upon all of us, heavily weighing...

Maybe it is I who ask for too much,
(the weak, fragile daughter)
of a disabled war veteran, a man who believed in the female touch.

I’m asking for love, mercy and forgiveness,
that to cure and remedy be our primary business!

We were each born with a purpose and name.
There are many struggling, even in these apocalyptic times,
                             with no blame.

There exist kindred “Spirits of Fire and Light” for a better existence.
Such an essence always resurges forth, with great persistence.

Poema de archivos de 2009 para “Accion de Gracias” que cae el 22 de Noviembre este año, Traducida...

CHISPAS

Tal vez pido demasiado (es algo como una gran grieta),
para una nacida de un veterano de guerra,
            (un hombre con una maleta).

Reforma, una nueva civilización,
         amor de hermandad, una mejor nación...
¿que veo? La necesidad de conservación y más sincera conversacion?

¿Rio y mar, contaminación?

Veo animales pequeños y pajaritos muriéndose.
Hombres viviendo en violencia, falsedad,
                                           o mentira...

Los puros de la tierra excluidos, rezando,
la conciencia de cada uno fuertemente pesando.

Tal vez es demasiado lo que pido,
               una hija débil, frágil,
               de un veterano de guerra,
             (un hombre que creía en el ser femenino)...

Pido amor, merced, y perdón,
que curar a los almas sea el principal “don”.

Nacimos con un propósito y nombre,
hay muchos que se unen inocentes, sin culpa.

“Espíritus afines de fuego y luz”,
ejemplos perseverantes, desde la esencia de la cruz.

HEALINGS (November 2, 2013)

(Dedicated to my brother, Gregg, whose birthday is November 4, which is also my Saint’s day – St. Borromeo! – For the much help he has given us in difficult times.  He deserves a poem!)

(I woke up this morning with the beginning sentences, which I think are a product of becoming more mature, and my great concern for Health for all.)

If you have time to put into it, and work in cooperation, than any task is possible.

To please a majority, you may need to make concessions.

Go to the origins.

Get to the roots!

What about the first Colonizers?

What about the Founding Fathers?

What were the first barriers?

What holds us back?

What causes the heart of our Community to ache?

Who are the best advisors?

Recognize your greatest weaknesses.

The Great Teachers taught us to be meek.

With their knowledge by our side, we find strength.

We keep getting older, and a positive attitude helps us face yet another week!
