Poem: "Rising Sun Over a Waterfall" from "Simple Words of Great Faith"!

RISING SUN OVER A WATERFALL
(From a Collection of Poems called “Simple Words of Great Faith”
(Written July 28, 2013/John’s Birthday!!!)
I prayed all I could.
I gave it all I got.
Now it is up to all of you.
Decide if it’s all a lot!
Don’t know where I’m going.
Hard to remember where I’ve been.
Now I see the light through the distance.
Life is better, left behind the worst of sin.
Lookin’ for a sign.
Tryin to see just what to do.
Wondering what is really mine.”
It’s a tough and cruel World, too!
The wait is surely worth it.
All that is suffered has a value.
The way is now made clear.
Your presence is felt, it’s near.
We pass out time as best we can.
We do our best, and think and think…
Peace is promised, new life, and a special drink!

Poem from "Thanksgiving", called "Just Ice"!

Well, another poem in English.  It comes from a collection of poems and songs I wrote some years ago called "Thanksgiving".  I dedicated the collection to my father, who was a World War II Disabled Veteran, and also a humble and honest bookkeeper.  He taught me to be grateful in life and gave me the example of not complaining about his situation.  I call the title "Just Ice" which is a play on the word "Justice"!

November 11, 1999

JUST ICE!

Just one little thing do I ask of you.
Just one little thing do I ask.

Justice in the World.
Love in my heart.
Happiness and Trust to start.

Just one little thing do I ask of you.
Just a little, Just a little thing.

For joy in the World.
For peace in my mind.
For a change that's for the better.

Just one little thing,
Just one little thing,
Do I ask, I ask of you...

For a song to sing,
For a reason to live,
For health,
For good company...

For a day like this,
Filled with Love and Joy,
For the simple things in Life.

I got all that I need,
I got everything.

I got hope,
and hands to work.

Poems from the Past! "Ave Maria de la Patria" y "Marcha Para Octubre"

AFTER so many years of pouring out my heart to all of you in a personal sort of way, I feel as if the "stage is set" as we say in English (¡el escenario esta preparado).  So I am taking us back a few years to 2002.  It was a year of much trouble here in Argentina.  Nevertheless, I wrote the two songs that follow with much hope.  I wrote one on (The Day of Children), “El Dia del Niño”, that year and this year (2007), it is on the same day.  In October we have Peregrinations here to Lujan for the Virgin and I wrote a song thinking in the different seasons in the World.  When it is March (autumn) here, it is September (autumn) there.
So, what I am trying to communicate to you is I have studied the Spiritual World intimately, and I believe the time has come to have Faith, and sing!

Para El que se lo creyo´
    No, ni importa,

    si en respeto camina.

Poem from "Songs of Deliverance"... "SONG OF THANKSGIVING"

HAPPY THANKSGIVING - 2013!!!

SONG OF THANKSGIVING (May 14, 2005)

    Thank God for the poetry.

    Thank God for my family.

Thank God for the days and nights.

Thank God for skies full of lights.

    Thank God in many ways and times;

In theatre, poems, songs and mimes.

Thank God in every way I can.

Thank God that he made animals, plants and man...

Thank God in everything I do.

Thank God that he has made you too!

Thank God and each day as it begins.

Thanking God is the one who wins.

Thank God in everything I do.

Thank God, and may He bless you too!

After reading Psalm 32 "Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered... (etc.), where it says "You shall surround me with songs of deliverance", I decided to write a collection poems called "Songs of Deliverance".  This is one of them.

Some are in English, some in Spanish.

Poem: "PROMISES III"

  PROMISES III (January 7, 2006)

In the saddest moment, Look Up!
You will see the blood-wine cup.
The disasters are a sign on the way,
To indicate from night the promises of a new day.
So if tragedy or storms appear.
Look Up!  Take a good direction and steer.
We are going to some place.
Look Up!  The future is filled with Grace.
This is a message of Love.
In the end promises fulfilled from above!

Poem: "PROMISES II"

PROMISES II (September 12, 2005)

My heart sings
Even in all this trouble,
As if it had wings.

And though the day be weary;
The times so dreary.
No matter what it brings,
My heart gently sings.

It sings of promises to come.
It talks about what we have been brought from.
And beyond all badness or things,
Gently, sweetly, my heart sings.

Though there be storm, sickness or riot,
My heart sings still, gently, so quiet!
