WORTH READING

(May 26, 2018)
I woke up a little after 5:00 a.m. from dreams and wrote the following song!
Obviously it was inspired by two situations from yesterday, Argentina’s patriotic May 25th, Anniversary of the Revolution.  One was hearing what the Archbishop, Mario Poli, said in the Tedeum (a celebration) that “the duty of the State (government) is to take care of the poor and marginal”.  The President and many officials were present at the Mass (not to mention the news media!)  He also said, “every life is worthwhile”.  The readings were about Zacchaeus (Luke, chapter 19), where Jesus has compassion even for a rich man and gives him a second chance!
“The indifference of the rich towards the weak does not go unseen by the eyes of God”.  He said and many other important things also.
Yesterday I read James, Chapter 5, because it was sent to me in my Whatsapp.  I think it was part of the readings for yesterday too.  When I looked for Santiago in an English Bible, I couldn’t find it!  Then I saw “James”, and remembered that Santiago in English is James!
This all reminds me of when my father used to say, “I’m going to tell you this only once and then I’m not going to say it again”, and he would give us some warning about our conduct.  I have learned to pay attention to those advices!  And the play with economic words is true to the heart of the daughter of a humble honest accountant!

BONDS OF CRAVINGS
(Written on May 26, 2018, 5:40 a.m.)
I am not the only one,
Expecting the rising sun.
It is more than me
Needing so to be set free.

We are a wonder.
The fates are asunder.
There is conviction; we will pull through.
Downtrodden hopes!
Beaten worries!
Will find a path, though scraggly, onward… home!

A path of truth, path of restoration.
Can’t see it yet, but it can be sensed!
