 WOLF CALLS

When the night calls
It calls not to be alone,
It calls for empty hearts
And souls so weak.

It cries for the lost,
For companionship,
For the loss at all costs.
It often cries quite angrily
To those who hear,
you
And me.

The night tends to call
With a sharp warning,
But it's always trailed
With beams of a caring
Morning.
