POEM: "Mending Nets"

MENDING NETS (January 26, 2014)
(Is 8, 23-9.3, Mt. 4, 12 23, the readings for this day!)
(Psalm: “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”

Questioning what is really true and right;
As we contemplate the universe, your might:
We are still in so much darkness,
Shining through, always, is a beam of your light!
Someone surely has to see it;
The sensitive first perceive a bit.
It is a sensation of your inmense love
Beyond, more than we know.
Your workings that take form and grow.
Yes, our hearts are prepared to receive
This special element that cures and relieves.
How can this great work be done to acclaim,
The great mystery and power,
Of your Holy name?
This light is something that first we feel,
The beginnings of what is truly real!
How can these workings be organized to acclaim,
The great mystery and power,
Of your Holy name?
