POEM: "OUTCAST"

OUTCAST (June, 2013)

Like the little black sheep,

Always a bit different, left out,

The last one chosen,

Perhaps too thin, or too stout.

Marked “a late bloomer”,

Having positive qualities that are hidden.

Something there that apparently cannot be forgiven…

Is it true that the last shall be first?

Justice will come to those who ardently thirst?

An example of the exception to the rule.

What could be a genius…

Is quite often taken as a fool!

A contradiction, perhaps a useful tool!

If you feel left out, search deep into your insides

Until you find and fix the smallest root.

Take aim at the most important, and for this goal you must shoot!

Against all odds, or any opposition, the good example that we give,

Is love and nourishment that helps us all to live!
