POEM: "WHAT IT'S LIKE"

WHAT IT’S LIKE (January 14, 2014)

A true story, straight from the Heart,

From one who believes.

With an ending that is just the beginning

And satisfies us and relieves

All our inner needs.

Found, finally, an adopted lost son,

A complicated love kept and won.

Prophecy, promises, and so much, a Lot,

All in all, much thanksgiving for all we have got!

Many ups and downs;

Years of worry and many times a frown.

The fragrance of flowers, rainbows of colors, from deep purple to browns,

Culminate in age,

Left behind remorse or rage.

The needs and expectations of youth are reconciled!

The hopes and dreams of a contrite heart are re-created, oh, so mild.
