Poem: DETERMINED HEART

(In the reunion of Legion of Mary, the Priest, Father Alois Bachmann, talked about el “Corazon Indiviso”, talking about the choice of “money or God”, and it helped me think of this poem.  

Happy Birthday to Graciela, whose birthday is on the day I wrote this poem and she is a person with a decided heart!)

DETERMINED HEART

And it breaks my heart to see you running away.

After all that you gave.

Where will you find the peace that you once built?

And all you lived, and what was felt?

Make up your mind,

Decide which way to go.

Choose between two roads.

Win one to find it all!

A house divided falls!

Listen to your heart to hear its calls!

Put your feet in the true procession!

And gain the one best possession!
