GRANDMA'S FURNITURE

LOS MUEBLES DE LA ABUELA

Grandma's English style china cabinet was beautiful and always looked polished.

El armario para la vajilla de estilo inglés de la abuela, era hermoso y siempre se mantenia ordenado.

 It was made out of cedar wood and still contained the expensive French wine and water glasses which had been given to Grandma when she got married.

Este, estaba construido con madera de cedro y en su interior, aun estaban las copas de vino y agua, que habian sido regalados a la abuela cuando se caso.

Grandma left the furniture in Alessandra's house when she went to live in an apartment.

La abuela habia dejado los muebles en la casa de Alessandra cuando se mudo a un departamento.

After grandma died Alessandra  thought about her grandma and the furniture.

 Al morir la abuela, Alessandra comenzo a pensar en ella y en los muebles.

She did not remember the last big hug that grandma gave to her the night before she died as if grandma knew what would happen.

 Alessandra no se acordo del abrazo fuerte que la abuela le dio la noche antes de morir (como si la abuela ya supiera que iba a suceder)

She did not remember saying, "I want to go to heaven too" while lying on the floor trying to sleep in sadness.

 No se acordaba de haber dicho, "yo tambien quiero ir al cielos", mientras se acostaba en el piso, triste, con ganas de dormir. 

She was very tiny when grandma died.

 Alessandra era muy pequeña cuando se murio la abuela.

All she remembered was that grandma had been a lot of fun, played with her and loved her very much.

 Se acordaba, sin embargo, de que la abuela era muy divertida, que jugaba con ella y que la amaba muchisimo.

Alessandra loved her grandma's furniture.

Alessandra queria mucho los muebles de la abuela.
